Parents: Baseball fields filled with safety hazards

Overgrown weeds at two local Little League baseball fields are the least of the residents' worries, according to parents.Parents insist that these fields are filled

WOODLAWN HEIGHTS - Overgrown weeds at two local Little League baseball fields are the least of the residents' worries, according to parents.

Parents insist that these fields are filled with unsafe conditions, such as puddles every time it rains and uneven grounds that are a safety hazard when balls are hit and when kids are running.

Residents say they hope that it does not come to a child being seriously injured for the city to step in. Parents are pleading for the Parks Department to create a safe and enjoyable environment and fix the long neglected fields.
