THE BRONX - Long lines, long waits and frazzled parents seem to be the norm as parents shop for uniforms and supplies before the start of the new school year.
But that wasn't the case Monday at Flynn & O'Hara, which sells school uniforms, in the Bronx.
"Look, there's nobody in line waiting," said one surprised customer. The shorter lines were because the parents were there weeks before the start of school on Sept. 9.
Owner Sean Flynn believes that is the way to go. "The busiest retail day is the day that school starts," said Flynn.
Some parents even ordered uniforms online.
"You really want to try to get this done before next Monday," said Flynn.
