Parents blast Mott Haven charter school plan

MOTT HAVEN - Mott Haven parents say they're against a plan to bring a new charter school to their community.

The school would inhabit a section of P.S. 30. The Department of Education says only 75 percent of P.S. 30 is being used.

Parents and teachers at P.S. 30 dispute the DOE's figure, arguing the 75 percent does not include classes being used for special needs students.
