Parents, children rally against proposed city budget cuts

MOUNT EDEN - Hundreds of Bronx parents and children are rallying against the proposed city budget that they say cuts programs for children.

The protesters are against the proposed cuts to child care and after-school programs contained in Mayor Michael Bloomberg's budget.

Those at the rally say that the cuts would hurt thousands of working families.

Bloomberg and the City Council have until June 30 to work out the final version of the 2013 budget.
