THE BRONX - Parents who have children attending McCloskey Day Care group aren't sure if they will have sufficient child care on Monday.

Parents were told that Friday would be the last day for the center's early learning program because of city budget cuts.

McCloskey told News 12 that it has worked out a plan with transitional funding sources to provide every eligible parent childcare on Monday.

The day care center says some of its early learning students may be placed at a different location, but all of the children will remain in the same neighborhood so that parents are not inconvenienced.

The center says it will be contacting parents to inform them that the doors will remain open, but some parents say they will be scrambling over the weekend to find child care just in case the center does close.

There are approximately 200 children who attend the center.
