Parents hit the books in Crotona Park East

THE BRONX - It's time to hit the classroom in Crotona Park East, only this time it's the parents who are learning.

The Parent Academy in Community School 66 was launched this year in an effort to get moms and dads to take an active role in their children's education.

Once a week, parents walk in the student's shoes and learn their curriculum. Participants say it's not only a great way to improve work habits for their kids, but also a chance to socialize with other adults.
