Parents protest possible closure of BX Catholic schools

THE BRONX - Parents and students spent the morning chanting and protesting, hoping the Archdiocese will spare their schools for closure in the Bronx.

The Archdiocese of New York is threatening to close six Bronx schools due to low enrollment and high deficits.

The schools at risk are Saint Augustine School, Saint John Vianney, Saint Martin of Tours, Saint Dominic School on White Plains Road, Saint Anthony-Saint Frances on Matilda Avenue, and Saint Pius The Fifth Girls High School.
