Parkchester residents call disregarded tires 'an eyesore'

PARKCHESTER - Neighbors say a massive stack of discarded tires at the corner of Odell Street in Parkchester is a community eyesore.

At least 150 tires line the wall of Rims Tire Shop. Owner Romsey Dataram says a trucking company that used to pick up his tires recently went out of business, leaving him with a small amount of room inside of his shop to store them.

The owner says that although the tires are not hurting anyone, nor are they in front of anybody's home, he wants to stop squabbling with neighbors and plans to have them removed by the end of the week.
