Parkchester shooting sparks fears of future violence

PARKCHESTER - A Thursday night shooting involving police in Parkchester has the community worried about future violence.

Police say that three people are under arrest, one of whom is in the hospital after being shot in the foot. Investigators say that they have all suspects in custody. Neighbors worry that the recent rash of violent crimes has something to do with the economic downturn.

?People are losing jobs,? says Emmanuel Koger of Parkchester. ?They?re becoming desperate.?

Police have not yet revealed what led to the shooting.
