VAN CORTLANDT PARK - Residents will be able to vote on which city parks should receive renovations in a Parks Department initiative called Parks Without Borders.

The Parks Without Borders initiative is trying to make park entrances more welcoming.

Renderings show the potential for more inviting parks by removing gates, planting greenery and adding tables and benches.

The Parks Department is also encouraging people to send in ideas for specific changes to spruce up parks.
