Pastor: Hate words found inside burned church

THE BRONX - A fast-moving fire tore through a church on Ellis Avenue, where messages and symbols of hate were later found scrawled on the charred walls.

Pastor Raymond Talavera says when he opened the door of the Glory of God Church following the fire, he found the words "get off the block" written on it.

Congregants say they have been worshiping in the building since 2001 and have never had any problems with their neighbors.

Firefighters also found propane tanks inside the church, which they say contributed to how quickly the fire destroyed the building.
