ALBANY - (AP) - The New York State Commission on PublicIntegrity has fined Gov. David Paterson $62,125 for accepting fivetickets to the first game of the 2009 World Series at YankeeStadium.

The commission says Paterson's testimony that he always intendedto pay for the tickets was "false," contradicting his staff, theYankees and common sense. He did pay for four tickets days later.

The commission says Paterson performed no ceremonial function atthe game, which still would not have entitled him to free ticketsfor his son and son's friend.

Paterson has said it was his duty to attend the opening seriesgame at the new Bronx stadium. A call to his lawyer's office wasnot immediately returned Monday.

An Albany prosecutor has been reviewing whether to bringcharges.
