Patients to rally for embattled Soundview clinic

The fight to keep the embattled Soundview Health Clinic open continues as patients boarded a bus this morning to rally in Gov. Andrew Cuomo's (D-NY)

THE BRONX - The fight to keep the embattled Soundview Health Clinic open continues as patients boarded a bus this morning to rally in Gov. Andrew Cuomo's (D-NY) hometown, Mount Kisco.

The protesters say they hope to get Albany's attention and show how important the center is. As News 12 The Bronx has reported, the center lost Medicaid funding following allegations that its founder and former state Sen. Pedro Espada Jr. used it as his personal piggy bank.

The Soundview Health Care Network was created in 1978 and has four clinics in The Bronx.
