THE BRONX - As the African population in the Bronx grows, so does the number of restaurants serving up authentic African cuisine.

Patina African Kitchen is one of these restaurants, on 169th Street and Prospect Avenue.

Chef and owner Tina Amalime cooks up West African dishes like Chicken Stew and Fufu, which is fermented Cassava.

Lady T, as she is known to friends and customers, adds spices like shrimp and fish power to give the food a unique flavor.

The restaurant will be celebrating its second anniversary in August.
