Pedestrian fatally struck by car in Melrose

A man was killed while crossing the street in Melrose today.Police say the 44-year-old victim was struck by a car on the Major Deegan Expressway

THE BRONX - A man was killed while crossing the street in Melrose today.

Police say the 44-year-old victim was struck by a car on the Major Deegan Expressway near Gerard Avenue and East 140th street. The driver of the 2004 Chevrolet remained at the scene.
