THE BRONX - A pedestrian was killed on the Bronx River Parkway this morning near the Bronx-Yonkers border.

The incident occurred a little before 7 a.m. on the southbound side of the parkway near Wakefield Avenue.

The southbound lanes were closed for a while, but they have since reopened.

The victim's name has not been released.
