THE BRONX - Residents in Pelham Bay are trying to get one of their neighborhood streets on the map.

George Street, which was once private land, is still partially private. The community says it wants it to be completely city-run so that it will qualify for the same services as other roads, including catch basins, fire hydrants and road repairs.

The Bronx Borough President's Office says it's gathering information on the issue, and plans to forward its findings to the city's Law Department in the coming weeks.
