Pelham Parkway tenants fume over busted elevators

THE BRONX - Tenants who live at 1540 Pelham Parkway say they're forced to live with broken elevators in their building, and some worry that it's a safety hazard.

Residents say they've been told that the elevators will be out of service for the next two months.

Tenants who live on the sixth floor say it's a huge inconvenience to walk up and down the stairs every time they go out. Elderly tenants say they feel trapped in their homes.

Residents tell News 12 The Bronx that the elevators break down several times each year.
