THE BRONX - Apple released its new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus on Friday.

Countless Bronx residents headed to cellphone stores to purchase Apple's latest product.

People waited in line at least an hour before stores opened to get their hands on the new phones.

The lighter, stronger and more user friendly iPhone is loaded with enhanced features.

There is even a 'take a selfie' feature on the phone. Apple's new 3D touch feature makes it easier to take pictures of yourself using the phone's 5 megapixel FaceTime HD camera.

Chris Tait from the AT&T store at Bay Plaza Mall says this phone is more advanced than ever.

"Right now it's going to use the A9 processor coming from an A8 processor so [it's] a lot faster than the previous model," says Tait. "If you want to open apps, surf the web, everything is going to be a lot faster."
