Pepper spray at Bronx school sends 14 to the hospital

Fourteen students at Bronx Leadership Academy High School were taken to the hospital after someone released pepper spray in the hallway. Officials say it happened

THE BRONX - Fourteen students at Bronx Leadership Academy High School were taken to the hospital after someone released pepper spray in the hallway.

Officials say it happened on the first floor and forced an evacuation of the entire school for about an hour.

EMS officials and the FDNY were on the scene and say that the students were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital as a precaution and quickly released.

Police say the incident is under investigation.
