THE BRONX - Some Bronx straphangers are collecting signatures in hopes of making it easier to get to a busy subway stop.

Students at Hostos Community College and community activists started a petition for the MTA to put an elevator at the East 149th Street-Grand Concourse subway station.

They say commuters with disabilities, strollers or carrying heavy loads have a difficult time getting to the 2 train, which is four levels down.
