THE BRONX - Local Filipinos are coming together to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan back in their homeland.

The Philippine American Association of the Bronx started a fundraiser at Our Lady of Solace Hall in Morris Park over the weekend, collecting money, clothes and canned items.

Those recovery efforts will continue at the same location every Sunday from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Hundreds of thousands of Filipinos lost their homes, or are living without necessities since the storm hit Friday.
