THE BRONX - A mother and daughter found an abandoned and injured pit bull puppy chained to a fence. The family says this isn't the first time they've found abandoned dogs in the same place.

Amber Ruiz says she and her mother found the dog, named Casey, chained to a fence on Taylor Avenue with no food or water. Casey was found bleeding from her left side and Ruiz says Casey looks like she had been stabbed. She has since been taken in by Ruiz's friend.

Ruiz and her mother say they've found three puppies left in the same place over the last couple of years. The family plans on taking Casey to the vet to be examined.
