Planned Parenthood to retrain workers

Planned Parenthood says it will be retraining workers who have direct contact with its patients following the release of an undercover video by anti-abortion group

THE BRONX - Planned Parenthood says it will be retraining workers who have direct contact with its patients following the release of an undercover video by anti-abortion group Live Action.

The video, taken at the East 149th Street clinic, shows a man posing as a pimp with a woman acting as one of his prostitutes. In the recording, the man talks to a worker about bringing underage prostitutes in for abortions.

Planned Parenthood says its workers will learn how to report potential risks to minors during the retraining, but in a written statement to News 12 the local clinic said, "Our staff responded professionally to questions, discussed these encounters with management and provided a report to the FBI."

The retraining must be completed by April 1.
