THE BRONX - The annual 'Pokey and Schleppie Awards' were released today, crowning the slowest bus routes around the city.

The report is released by New York Public Interest Research Group's Straphangers Campaign. The 'Pokey' award went to the BX 19, which originates at the Botanical Garden. The report states the BX 19 bus drives less than 5 miles per hour on average.

The 'Schleppie' award was given to the BX 41, which starts in Williamsbridge and ends at Webster Avenue. The report states that the route is not reliable 20 percent of the time, with buses coming in bunches or hardly showing up at all.
