Police: 2 teens shot in Morrisania

MORRISANIA - Police are searching for the gunman who shot two teens in Morrisania last night on Freeman Street.

Police say that at around 9 p.m., two girls, ages 14 and 15, were each shot in the leg.

Neighbors say they saw a car leaving the scene of the shooting after hearing what they thought were fireworks.

They were taken to Lincoln Hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.

Authorities are looking into what led to the shooting. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
