Police: 6 shot during late-night barbecue

THE BRONX - Police are searching for a gunman who shot six people during a barbecue inside a Bronx park Sunday night.

They say the shooting occurred after a fight broke out inside Frank Sigel Park around midnight.

Officials say a 19-year-old woman and a 17-year-old man were transported to Lincoln Hospital by ambulance.

Three others, a 14-year-old, 16-year-old and a 20-year-old, were shot in either the leg or foot and made their way to Lincoln Hospital by themselves.

The last victim was a 16-year-old boy who found his own transportation to Bronx Lebanon Hospital. Police say the victim was treated for a gunshot wound to the forearm.

Police say none of the injuries were life-threatening.

They are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
