THE BRONX - Police have arrested and charged two teens in connection with a violent assault on a subway train over the weekend.

Jay Nelson, 17, and Malik Cruz, 16, are both accused of approaching a 45-year-old man and punching him in the face before attempting to stab him with a screwdriver.

The alleged attack happened on the northbound D train at the East 170th St./Grand Concourse station.
