Police arrest suspect in Fordham hit-and-run

FORDHAM - Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for the serious hit-and-run accident Friday night in Fordham that left a woman in the hospital.

Police have arrested 25-year-old Radames Ramos last night on suspicion of hit-and-run. The victim was a pedestrian who was crossing the street at 189th Street and Webster Avenue.

The victim, identified only as a 42-year-old woman, remains in critical condition at Saint Barnabas Hospital.

Police say that Ramos also had marijuana on him at the time of arrest.
