Police arrest teen for Highbridge computer burglary

THE BRONX - Police arrested a 17-year-old this weekend for allegedly stealing several laptops from a Bronx school.

Parents at P.S. 73 held a rally Friday asking the community to step forward after police say 77 laptops were stolen in two separate robberies this spring.

Police say Pedro De La Cruz has been linked to the second incident on Memorial Day. They are investigating whether he was also involved in eight other separate burglaries.

De La Cruz is charged with criminal possession of stolen property.
