THE BRONX - Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with a triple shooting that left two young men dead and another injured inside a Bronx park.

According to investigators, Yenfri Ramorez pulled out a gun and fatally shot 17-year-old Edwin Liz and 22-year-old Allen Michael Matos on the basketball court at Devoe Park Thursday. Another victim was taken to the hospital.

Witnesses say the shootings resulted from a fight between two groups that happened weeks ago.

The victims' friends say they tried to warn police about the gun in Ramorez's possession.

"They didn't listen and when the perpetrators started shooting, the cops just stood in their cars watching them shoot," says Daniel Velesquez.

Ramorez was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
