THE BRONX - Following a formal investigation, police say that the report of an attempted abduction near St. Benedict's School was exaggerated.

According to authorities, a woman told them that a man tried to get her into his car while she walked from the school.

The Archdiocese says that the school's principal reported the incident to police and sent out a warning message to parents.
