Police: Bronx man arrested for forced prostitution

THE BRONX - A Bronx man has been arrested for allegedly forcing a 14-year-old girl into prostitution and raping her. According to authorities, 28-year-old Pedro Diaz was arrested in Hunts Point Saturday after meeting his victim on Facebook and holding her hostage for several days on Fox Street. They say he threatened the teen with a gun, forced her to have paid sex with men on three occasions and raped her himself. Nearby residents say teenage girls frequently enter and leave the apartment building at all hours of the night. Diaz has been arraigned on 18 different criminal charges, including rape, kidnapping and sex trafficking. He is due back in court March 29.
