THE BRONX - A 13-year-old Bronx boy stepped onto the ledge of his third-floor apartment Sunday after police, responding to a fight between the boy and his mother, arrived at the home.

Police say the incident happened at 2320 Bronx Park East after the 13-year-old's mother called authorities because the boy was punching the wall and threatening her. Police say it took them about 15 minutes to talk the boy off the ledge.

The boy has been taken into custody and is undergoing a medical evaluation.
