Police car, taxi collide in Claremont

Two police officers and a livery cab driver were rushed to the hospital this morning after a car accident in Claremont.Officials say a taxi crashed

THE BRONX - Two police officers and a livery cab driver were rushed to the hospital this morning after a car accident in Claremont.

Officials say a taxi crashed into a police car on Washington Avenue and Claremont Parkway, pinning it up against a pole.

Police on the scene say they had to pry off one of the doors to rescue an officer trapped in the passenger seat.

All three people were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with minor injures. Police are still investigating who is at fault for the incident.
