THE BRONX - Police were on the lookout today for people barbecuing on Mosholu Parkway.

Barbecuing is prohibited on the parkway, but News 12 found several families lighting up on the greenway.

According to the city's Parks Department, barbecuing is allowed in parks in designated areas where there are stationed grillers.   

Barbecuing is prohibited under trees.

Residents who grill on the greenway or in non-designated park areas face a $250 fine.
