Police: Husband suspected in woman's murder

THE BRONX - Police are searching for a man who allegedly shot and killed his wife Sunday morning.

Officials say 27-year-old Jennifer Ortiz was inside a beige Chevrolet vehicle on East 191st Street at Morris Avenue at around 7:30 a.m. when she was shot in the head.

Police say her husband, 31-year-old Amauri Perdomo, is a suspect in the shooting.

Witnesses say they saw Ortiz in the passenger's seat with another man in the car next to her when the suspect approached them and started an argument before shooting her. When authorities arrived, the mother of four was pronounced dead.

Perdomo is described as about 6 feet tall and weighs 230 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.
