THE BRONX - Police have identified the mutilated body of a man found inside an apartment bathtub in the Bronx.

Richard Reed , 68, was stabbed with a pair of scissors, his genitals cut off with a razor blade and he suffered blows to the head with a hammer. He was left bloody in the bathtub of his 1348 Sheridan Ave. apartment around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, according to police.  

Jerry Pagan, 32, was arrested in connection with the crime. Police say Pagan had an ongoing relationship with the victim and was recently out on parole.

Officials say Pagan has at least 40 priors, and is now facing murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon charges.
