Police ID man fatally shot in Mount Hope

Police have identified a 41-year-old man who was fatally shot in Mount Hope over the weekend.

THE BRONX - Police have identified a 41-year-old man who was fatally shot in Mount Hope over the weekend.

According to police, Jose Morales was shot once in the head Sunday at East 175th Street and Weeks Avenue around 7 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a 25-year-old man was also shot twice in the face and once in the chest.

He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition.
