THE BRONX - Police have identified a man who was fatally struck by a car while crossing the street in the Bronx.

Darton Besler, 73, of the Bronx was struck by a minivan and killed on Sunday while crossing the street on Boston Road in Allerton around 5:36 p.m.

Police say the 29-year-old driver of the car remained on scene and that charges have been filed.
