Police have identified the man who they say is behind a bank robbery spree throughout the city that includes four banks in The Bronx.

Police have identified the man who they say is behind a bank robbery spree throughout the city.

THE BRONX - Police have identified the man who they say is behind a bank robbery spree throughout the city that includes four banks in The Bronx.

According to investigators, 24-year-old Derek Colon enters the banks and passes a note to the teller demanding cash. The first incident happened at an Emigrant Savings Bank on East 149th Street on Nov. 10. 

Authorities say that about a week after the first crime, Colon struck a Capital One and a Chase bank in the borough. The last Bronx robbery was Nov. 21 at a CitiBank on Southern Boulevard.
