THE BRONX - As fire officials continue to investigate the cause of the fire at the Marble Hill Houses that left two dead yesterday, police have identified the two victims.

Marilyn Brito, 46, and Juan Lizardo, 47, were both pronounced dead at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital around 5 p.m. Friday afternoon, after the fire tore through their second-floor apartment on 225th Street. Neighbors say they tried rescuing them, but thick smoke prevented them from getting to the victims.
