Police identify man fatally shot while holding child

Police have identified the man who they say was fatally shot in the head while holding a young girl in broad daylight Tuesday in Parkchester.

Police say 21-year-old Allen McQueen was running outside his apartment building at 1535 Taylor Ave. when he was shot at around 1:30 p.m.

THE BRONX - Police have identified the man who they say was fatally shot in the head while holding his young daughter in broad daylight Tuesday in Parkchester.

Police say 21-year-old Allen McQueen was running outside his apartment building at 1535 Taylor Ave. when he was shot at around 1:30 p.m.

McQueen was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center and pronounced dead. Detectives say the 2-year-old child was not hurt.

Authorities say the suspect fled the scene in a Mercedes.
