Police increase efforts to find rape suspect

Police are stepping up patrols in Westchester Square after they say a man raped a 79-year-old woman inside her building elevator near Benson Street Monday

WESTCHESTER SQUARE - Police are stepping up patrols in Westchester Square after they say a man raped a 79-year-old woman inside her building elevator near Benson Street Monday morning.

Police hung sketches of the suspect on telephone booths and store windows, hoping that someone will come forward to help them make an arrest.

Officials say the man was Hispanic and in his 20s.

Private security guards are watching the apartment building 24-hours-a-day.
