MOUNT EDEN - Police are searching for three men believed to be responsible for a home invasion in Mount Eden yesterday. Witnesses say the men entered an apartment on the first floor of 15-75 Townsend Ave. shortly before 3 p.m. They say two of them were dressed in Fed Ex uniforms and that the men forced the victim in the apartment to open a safe. Some neighbors say they believe they saw the suspects leaving the scene. "We actually did see a Fed Ex guy walking around the block, but we didn't pay it any attention," one resident said. "It's a normal thing." Fed Ex representatives say the company was not aware of the situation, and that in general, workers turn in their uniforms after their shifts end. Police urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
