Police looking for robbers who pose as housing authority

Police say several men robbed a home after posing as workers from the New York City Housing Authority.Police say the victim was a 56-year-old man

THE BRONX - Police say several men robbed a home after posing as workers from the New York City Housing Authority.

Police say the victim was a 56-year-old man living at 948 Mace Ave. Several men knocked on his door posing as NYCHA workers and asked to check his carbon monoxide detectors, according to police.

The victim was beaten and robbed of $5,000.

Police are investigating the incident. No arrests have been made.
