Police say the sexual assault happened at the Manhattanville Health Care Center on West 231st Street at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday. Nanic Aidasani, 42, allegedly raped the 64-year-old woman in her bed at the facility.

RIVERDALE - A male nurse is under arrest after allegedly raping a patient at a Riverdale nursing home.

Police say the sexual assault happened at the Manhattanville Health Care Center on West 231st Street at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday. Nanic Aidasani, 42, of Yonkers, allegedly raped the 64-year-old woman in her bed at the facility. 

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Aidasani was arrested and now is facing rape charges.

“Manhattanville Health Care Center contacted police and the Department of Health to report the alleged assault,” said facility administrator Uri Schwartz in a released statement. “Our residents are our number one priority. We will continue to assist authorities with this ongoing investigation."

Aidasani will likely face a judge Wednesday morning.
