Police: Man riding ATV ran down officer

Authorities say 44-year-old George Fabian hit the officer while riding an ATV on Hunts Point Avenue Saturday afternoon, and then drove off.

THE BRONX - Police are searching for a man they say intentionally ran down a police officer.

Authorities say 44-year-old George Fabian hit the officer while riding an ATV on Hunts Point Avenue Saturday afternoon, and then drove off.

The officer was thrown to the ground and suffered trauma to his back and neck as well as cuts to both of his arms.

He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
