WAKEFIELD - Police have identified a suspect in connection with the murder of a woman who was found stabbed to death in Wakefield on Sunday.

According to authorities, Omar Martinez is wanted for questioning after his wife, 44-year-old Maxine Martinez, was found dead on Baychester Avenue with wounds to her back and head.

Martinez is described as a 31-year-old black male who stands about 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.

The funeral for Martinez will take place next Thursday at McCall's Bronxwood Funeral Home. Martinez's body will then be sent to Jamaica for burial.
