THE BRONX - Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide following the discovery of two bodies inside a University Heights apartment yesterday. Officers say when they arrived at 2084 Grand Ave. at around 1:40 p.m., they found 30-year-old Janette Marie Lawrence dead on a coach with a gunshot wound to the head. Nearby, investigators say 37-year-old Batu McLary-Griggs was lying on the floor also with a gunshot wound to his head. Police say they were called to Lawrence's apartment after her father called 911, saying he hasn't heard from his daughter since Tuesday. Responding officers say they recovered a gun from the apartment.
